Volunteering

Volunteering is the heart of Love INC, and you might be surprised at how many ways there are to help through volunteering! Contact the Love INC coordinator at your church for more information about how to get involved.

If your church is a partner with Love INC of Benton County and you want to volunteer, fill out the form and mail it to us at: Love INC of Benton County, P.O. Box 270, Corvallis, OR 97339. We'll have your pastor approve it then add you to our list of available volunteers.

Giving

• Gifts in Kind

A gift in kind is any sort of item which may be useful to someone else. Click here to find out more!

• Automobiles

Do you have a car of truck that you no longer need? How about an RV, camper, or motorcycle that's sitting in your garage? Love INC can receive your vehicle as a donation and give you a tax deductible receipt. A donated vehicle must be in good working order. To donate your vehicle, contact us.

Most of you know that the tax laws concerning donations of vehicles to non-profits has changed so that you can only deduct the actual sale price of the vehicle, not the blue book value of it. However, since Love INC does not sell the vehicles, but gives them to low income people, you cannot claim the sale price as we are not selling it. The IRS suggests the private sale value as your tax deduction would be appropriate - you can get more information from their website.

• Finances

Giving financially is another way to help. There are many ways financial donations can be used, and donations are tax-deductible. Also, we are now able to accept credit card donations online! Click here to find out more.

• Albertson's Community Partners Program

If you shop at Albertson's, here is a a way to give money to Love INC without costing you a cent! Even if you've already been giving via this program, it is important to act by Feb 28th, 2009.
