Managing Your Money

We have just begun a "Managing Your Money" program which offers weekly two-hour classes. The first hour of each class focuses on budget training to become and stay debt free, and advice on how to stay ahead. The second hour involves hands-on mentoring of each participant by a personal trainer, going over their bills, working out a real budget, and writing the right checks. The program is designed to present core material over a 10 week period, but many participants continue to meet with their mentors for about a year after beginning classes.

Child care is provided; free gifts for those needing presents for family members, limited quantity of free gas cards, free oil changes, free haircuts and free personal hygiene products are given as incentives to encourage the participants when they meet their commitments of attending class, meeting with their mentor and doing their homework.

A light supper will be provided.
