I received a phone call from a woman in Eugene asking questions about how to start Love INC there. After I hung up, I mentioned to LaCheri that I was encouraged that Lane County was working towards a Love INC. Within two minutes an office volunteer came out and asked if I had said "Lane County". When I told her "yes", she said, "wow, a man just called from Springfield and he needs a bed. Do you think the person you spoke with would help him?" I told her I didn't know but would call right back.

The woman said she thought she could help-she knew where there was a bed. A few hours later she called me back. She was laughing at the goodness of God.

She knew this young man as he used to attend her church. He had decided that he did not want anything more to do with God. A week ago a man from her church saw him on the street and offered him a ride. While driving him, he shared the gospel with him again and then prayed for him and let him know that God had His hand on him and would not let him go.

After I gave her the man's information, she called him and told him who she was. He was stunned and said to her, "How the did you get my phone number?" She told him that God arranged it and then asked him if he had asked God for something today. She asked him if he had asked for a bed because she had a bed for him that God had provided. He said "How on earth could you know this? I phoned Love INC in Corvallis only an hour or so ago." She let him know that we had called her because we thought she might know of resources to help him.

He was totally stunned. The woman told him again, "God loves you so much that He arranged a bed just for you in this miraculous way". When she hung up, he still couldn't get over it.

Isn't it fun to see God work? You know we've only had about 2 or 3 calls from Lane County in 8 years - and God lets someone call us from there just minutes before this man calls us for help. I feel so privileged to see God working.
